    Hello everybody,

I'm a newbie with esxi 4.0, i'm trying to use a realtek r8139 as nic. Anybody has any suggestion?

I used the drivers of r8168 or r8169 after i modified simple.map, pci.ids was already correct.

    All didn't work.

    thx

You should use VMTools as drivers for NIC, system and video.

    Hi everybody,

I know that rtl139 isn't in the HCL, even if on somebody used it with esxi 3.5.

For this reason i'm looking for suggestions or anybody tried to use 8139 before.

    Further information, I'm using esxi 4 on a lab host (HP ML115G5 quad-opteron 8GBDDR2)

    thx in advance

    Davide

    How about HP's NC110T - £31 from eBuyer.
