RAID controller compatibility

We just got an HP DL380 Gen9 with hopes to run ESXI to run CISCO FirePower/Sight controller for our firewalls, as well as a Server 2012 VM for other stuff. It has an embedded RAID controller it says HP h240ar that's running two 1.2TB SAS drives in RAID1. Is there any way we can use this or do we have to get another controller? I don't see any drives show up besides the USB when I'm trying to install.

That controller is supported:

Make sure you use the HP custom ISO with updated hpsa drivers:
