    Goodnight,

I recently tried testing with Esxi 6.5 and 6.7 on a Dell R610 server. but I get a purple screen when I install my card:

DELL QLogic qle8152 10 Gb Dual Port PCI-E

The card works correctly, in fact it was working on a Redhat.

But when I install it on the Dell R610 Server, it does not allow me to continue with the installation.

I appreciate if someone from the community can give me help on this topic.

The old R610 is not supportet for 6.5 and 6.7.

Check: VMware Compatibility Guide - System Search

thanks for your answer, but I get the same error with vmware 6 that, if it is compatible.

The problem I get when I use the card:

DELL QLogic qle8152 10 Gb Dual Port PCI-E

If I do not use this card, I do not have any kind of problem.

the strange thing is that this card works well with other operating systems.

When checkin the HCL for this device it shows that only a 3rd.Party driver is supportet. You also have to made the decision if you wanna use the CNA for FCOE or as a NIC and when speaking about FCOE you need the right FW as well.

    - Check the HCL for your Card (VID)

    - Boot your ESXi without the card. Update your ESXi and than install the driver

    - Add your card again and verify that card FW match the driver which is listet on the HCL

The card was also listet as supportet for ESXi 6.5u2 but in both cases the VMware links to very old drivers from the 5.5 release.
