  • 1.  Product Support for a SuperMicro x10DRL-i server Motherboard

I am looking to custom-building my next server utilizing two Intel Xeon CPU's (each is 6-core) and running in a SuperMicro dual-CPU (x10DRL-i) motherboard.

Are they any issues with running VMWare ESXi on this platform? I tried looking up the product matrix, but it doesn't specify anything, but I would rather ask

    the community to find out.

    cheers,

    Paul

It appears that the manufacture says that it is supported with esxi 5.5 update 1. I couldn't find it on the vmware HCL, however it may be listed under a different part it.

I use supermicro in my lab environment, I run a MBD-H8SGL, which runs perfectly smooth with esxi.

    Hi Paul,

Did you find out if this motherboard supports ESXi?

I am interested in buying too.

    Thanks,

    Robert
