  • 1.  Permissions to mount an iso

    Posted Mar 03, 2010 09:11 PM

I've followed the instructions I've seen in other posts and it still doesn't work, does anyone have any clear answer on how to do this, it's kind of become impornant to us because our Linux admins need to mount recovery iso's and if it's on a weekend they have to call me to do a simle mount.

I did configure the permissions as stated in other posts, but I can't mount an ISO, option greyed out when you do an edit, however when I open a console and try a connect/disconnect from there I get an error box that pops up stating:

Permission to perform this operation was denied.

You do not hold privilege "System>Read" on datastore"

Any ideas? What am I missing. I don't see wherr to set a System>Read on datastore option, I thought that was taken care of when you did "Datastore?Browse Datastore" permissions?

I think this is a bit from lower layer.

What does "ls -l" against the file say?
