  • 1.  P2V: Unable to obtain hardware information for the local machine

    Posted Nov 25, 2012 06:05 AM

I am trying to convert my OS to a virtual image, but the converter replied "Unable to obtain hardware information for the selected machine"

Can anyone tell me what should I do next? Thanks

OS: WIndows XP 32 bit Pro (SP3)

Can you try installing the Converter standalone on the same machine which you want to do P2v and then start the process, enable all the ports required for Converter or disable the firewall on the machine you want to convert.
