  • 1.  P2V Conversion Fails with 'Platform-specific error 38'

    I need to virtualize a Dell laptop running Windows 7 Pro.  The host computer is running VMware Workstation 10.  I enter all the requested information and it looks like it's going to work before getting the error:  'Platform-specific error 38'.  I can't find any mention of this error anywhere and I can't find and logs on either computer.

    Hello

    Converter logs are located in %ALLUSERSPROFILE%\VMware\VMware vCenter Converter Standalone\logs. Look for agent logs on the source machine (the Dell laptop) and for worker logs on the machine where converter is installed (possibly the same).
