The path to the file is

    /srv/www/htdocs/config.php

Once you edit the IP address it works fine.

4 out of 5 stars? Where did this bogus 4 star rating come from?!?!?!

This VA is a total piece of junk. Where is the vote button? I don't see one--wonder why....

It's not my intention to offend or attack Farren, but this thing is just not worth the headache. One is much better off building a Moodle server from scratch.

I installed this VA months ago and have had nothing but problems with it. For starters, a ton of manual file editing is required just to get it up and running at your site. This wouldn't be a big deal if the list of files and the edit requirements would have been included in the "instructions".

Since I installed it, the filesystem mount of /dev/sda2 constantly/mysteriously changes mount state to read only, which disables logins to the Moodle site. I have no clue on this one. The logs don't point to a culprit. It would appear this VA came to life as a P2V as there was a lot of powersave and other laptop daemon junk I removed. This thing is just a real mess from the minute you boot it until the day you decide to ditch it in favor of a clean install.

Right now I'm fighting a Moodle problem where you can't add a teacher to a course. I've found a post on the moodle forum as to why:

    http://tracker.moodle.org/browse/MDL-3781

The culprit is the mysql version. It would appear that the bug is not fixed in 5.0.27 either as upgrading to this rev didn't solve the problem. So if someone decides to make a better Moodle VA stick with a pre-5 version of mysql.

We've had so many problems with this Moodle VA that our Dean of Faculty is wanting to ditch Moodle completely. If I'd have known up front how crumby this VA is, and how much time I would have to put into troubleshooting its inherent problems, I'd have just built it from scratch. I suggest anyone reading this do so.

I am going to try the Debian Moodle package as Debian is my favorite Linux distro.
