  • 1.  Nvidia GTX 1650 - Code 43 after VM reboot

    As some may know, Nvidia is now allowing PCIE/GPU passthrough for their GeForce cards now.

    Everything works just fine. It's only during the VM reboot process does device manager put the card in a state of "Code 43".

    I am currently running Esxi 7.0u3. 

    Does anyone have any suggestions?

    The Issue I am facing has to do with Infamous "Code 43" in Device Manager. The steps I followed are below:

    1. Created Virtual Machine
    2. Assigned the GPU PCI Device
    3. It works
    4. Rebooted the VM and it Throws Code 43.

    Steps I tried to Mitigate the Issue : 
    1. Tried adding hypervisor.cpuid.v0 = "False" flag in VM Parameters
    2. Reinstalling the Drivers
    3. Changing the GPU

    If you have any information that might help kindly let me know.

    Same issue.

    My workaround for now was putting the GPU into slot 4x (Physical 16x). 

    It works in this slot, so I'm confused why it won't work in the 16x slot.
