I have a Virtual host machine VMware ESXi 4.0u01 with amongs others a FreeBSD 8.2 machine with X (via KDM window manager)
So far I always could connect via vSphere Client to this host, which gave me a KDE login window, and I could do
Ctrl-Alt-F1 to get to an ASCII console (login: prompt)
This week, a security patch was applied to FreeBSD
after reboot, KDE login window came up, but none of the Ctrl-Alt-F1, ... F8 works anymore
(i could login via Keyboard and mouse in a graphical evironment)
Someone suggested try Ctrl-Alt-SPACE, then release SPACE with holding Ctrl-Alt en press F1, which should
be something special of vmware (?)
But, this had the result that neither keyboard nor mouse reacts.
Leavind vSphere and conecting again gives me a BLACK screen, with no reaction to keyboard nor mous
How to solve this ???
