Newbie needs help, Converter fails @ 18% everytime

Trying to convert xp box sp3

Dell inspiron 530, dual core quad, 4 meg, 500 gig hd

Only error that shows up is in the conversion status box next to status it reads

FAILED: The object or item referred to could not be found

In the log highlights, the last log reads

Error: Failed to clone volume 'c:'

As far as i can tell, all is in order. My xp boxes size to convert is only 26 gig.

if you try block-based clone and have bad blocks on the disk this may be a reason why it always fails at 18 %.

Try chkdsk with option to fix bad blocks first.

If that does not help try file based cloning
