  • 1.  Nano Command not working?

    Hi,

    i need to enable SNMP on the host...

    I have a link that i need to follow to do this, however after i putty the host, it does not recognize the nano (text editor) command?

    nano /etc/vmware/snmp.xml

    Any idea's?

    nano won't work in ESXi

    use WinSCP instead of Putty - then you can edit files by a simple doubleclick in WinSCP

    You can only use vi on an ESXi host.

    Is there a package manager running or is there some other way to get nano loaded into the ESXi host?

    No. That is not how ESXi has been designed or is intended to be used.
