  • 1.  Moving VM from Old tower to Rack server

    I have Two Servers One is PowerEdge t610 and new one is R720. I need to move VM from old server to new one. I have close to 35. Is there a quick way to move them?

    Welcome to the Community,

    if you have vCenter Server in place to manage the hosts, you can simply migrate the VM's from the GUI. With stand-alone hosts it's not that easy. However there are options too like using VMware Converter (make sure you disable the post conversion tasks), Exporting/Importing as OVF (may require some network reconfiguration), or - if the VM's virtual disks are thick provisioned - copy the VM's files using e.g. WinSCP or FastSCP.
