    Hi,

I have 2 virtual machines on Hyper V and the host OS is crushing everytime I logg on.

VMs are located on Drive D. Hyper V Host OS is stored on C:

If I changed from Hyper V to ESXi, will I loose those VMs?

    Thanks

If you do not have separate RAID configuration for C and D drive you will be losing the DATA when doing a installation of ESXi

Its better you take a backup of the VM's and do a fresh installation of the ESXi and use a VMware Converter/thrid party tools to convert VHD files to VMdk and import it to the ESXi enviroment

I do not know what is RAID.

    My current setup is this.

    I have 2 x 1TB disk on the box.

Drive C and Drive D is on Disk 1. Drive C being the first partition containing host OS and Drive D being the second partition containing my VMs.

Drive E is a data storage on Disk 2.

My host becomes unresponsive when I log in. But it is still accessible from RDP until log in screen. The moment I log in, it will freeze and then restart eventually.

How can I back up my files?

Do I have to convert in on my host OS before installing ESXi or I can Convert these Hyper-V VM from ESXi should I manage to download/backup the files?

    Thanks

hype*-v is nothing bt ms os , so first convert ur vm's (to another box) to esxi verison vm's or workstation vm's using vmware convertor and then u can upgrade ur existing box
