  • 1.  Mouse disappears in the console

    I just upgraded the my vCenter server from 5.5 to 6.5 appliance. Now when I try to use the console some of the console the mouse disappears when moving it into the field where the OS resides. Any ideas

    Are you trying to use the browser based console view? Is the VMware tools installed on the vm?

    can you try with VMRC? VMware Knowledge Base

    We are on 6.5 and the web console is all that is available in 6/5

    Hello jprovine,

    you can download the VMRC or you can click on the icon on the VM which gives you Install Remote console option as shown below. Please try to download VMRC and launch remote console to check if the same is appearing with VMRC

    That worked so why did that work and the other didn't

    If mouse doesn't appear on web console then press ctrl+atl. You'll be out of console window.
