  • 1.  Monitering Log Files

    Helllo,

    I am new user to to this forum.Kindly anyone guide me how to moniter certain parameters in monitering log files.They are as folllows:
    1) If Event Log file is corrupted( i.e. Windows .evt file for Info,Warning and Error).
    I have tried but it is in encrypted format. and on top of that i am not getting the logic how to moniter this fuctionality.

    Kindly help me for this.plz.

    Did you follow the instructions for setup in the Test Ride Guide?

    I tried the instructions for setup in the Test Ride Guide. But i am trying to monitor event log file (*.evt which are in C:\WINDOWS\System32\config\AppEvent.evt,SysEvent.evt and SecEvent.evt)these are encrypted by windows so i m trying to do how hyperic can help me to monitor these files and alert me if any error or warning comes...

    You can monitor the event log files from the Windows platform resource.  Edit Configuration Properties to enable and select the logs you want to monitor by the name you'd see using the Windows EventLog viewer, rather than path to the actual file.
