    Which Method we can use to migrate VM from AMD CPU to Intel CPU

    1. Cold Migration

    2.  vMotion

    Which method is correct?

    Answer: 1. Cold Migration

    For a vMotion betweem different Vendors you need to disable the CPU validation. The Vendors offer different CPU feature and extensions and nobody can say if the OS  or any of the Apps use these or not. Thats why vMotion from different CPU Vendors is not possible. Even within the same brand its not possible as long as you havent set EVC and bring down all CPUs to the lowest level.

    A Cold Migration, if you can, is what you need to do. The operating system won't like CPU architecture changes like this and it won't function.
