Linksys EG 1032 gb NIC

Hello -

I need to add 1 NIC to one of my vSphere servers. I added the card to the server, but it does not show up in the viClient when I look at Network Adapters.

The NIC I added is a Linksys EG 1032 adapter - I have found the linux driver and unpacked the tarball.

I'm not sure how vSphere will recognize the new adapter though - has anyone installed this NIC before?

Relatively new to linux cmd line...

ESX(i) is not linux. Drivers must be written specifically for ESX(i). If the NIC is not on the Hardware Compatibility List you may be out of luck. Most desktop adapters don't work well or at all.
