Licensing of Windows Server 2003 virtual appliacne

Hi,

I have created a virtual appliance with microsoft windows server 2003 operating system using a trial license. However i want to apply a permanent license to this appliance after deploying it.

I am open to using any technology to write a plugin which will do the following:

1) After deploying, it will take the permanent product key and apply it to the virtual appliance.

Can this be achieved using WMI script ? Where can i get more information on this. ?

Not trying to sound snarky, but your best bet is to ask Microsoft. VMware products don't have any inherent tools to handle Windows licensing or activation.
