    Hi All,

I have an Esxi 5.5 server (HP Proliant). It has 2 physical NICs. One of which is used by the host and VMs.

I want to migrate the host to a distributed switch, but get this error (IP is not mine, error is same):

“Network configuration change disconnected the host ’172.19.248.14′ from vCenter server and has been rolled back.

    fault.NetworkDisruptedAndConfigRolledBack.summary”

when the switch NIC is access mode

This is in the comments of  http://www.virtuallanger.com/2012/09/08/migrating-portgroups-from-a-vss-to-a-vds/

    The same person says:

vmk0′s IP has to reside on the default VLAN of the physical network port.

So either set the native VLAN on the physical switch side, or change the IP of vmk0 to reside on the default VLAN.

What would I need to do exactly?

    Hi,

NIC which are trying to migrate to VDS is using the esxi to communicate with Vcenter.Try to disable the rollback feature in vcenter conf file

That didn't help but I think if I migrate the management switch to a new IP, that should work?

    That's my next step.
