I'm new to VMware vSphere and I'm looking for some help. I tried searching through the threads but could not find anything immediate to help me, nor could I find anything useful or evident on the web.

Currently our vSphere contains a development, test and production cluster. I'm looking to set-up a virtual sandbox in vSphere. The stipulation is that this sandbox will run it's on Domain Controller (different from the other clusters) which will be isolated from the other clusters. I need to create this and not have it interfere with our other environments.

Could someone please point me in the right direction?

    Thanks,

    Franck

Create a separate vSwitch for your sandbox VMs. If you don't want it to have any contact don't have any physical nics connected to this new vSwitch. You will not have any connectivity to anything outside the sandbox.

Also if you are limited on NICs you could use VLAN tagging to have multiple isolated VLANs go to a single vSwitch and then use VM portgroups to pull off the appropriate VLANs.
