Is vCenter Foundation supported with vSphere for Desktop

A quick question from a customer:

• Can vcenter server foundation be used to manage hosts licensed with vsphere desktop?

I’d like to say yes since vSphere Desktop is essentially ENT+ but I can’t track down any documented support statement.

Yup, I saw that. Unfortunately it doesn't say anything about vCenter Foundation. Thanks for looking though.

I tried it in the lab using eval licenses and it worked. Still no official word from VMware though.
