  • 1.  Intel Xeon 4th Gen CPU and Windows 10 LTSB 2016

    Hi, All

    My customer is planning to upgrade Server and ESXi.

    He want to choose Intel Xeon 4th Generation Processor based blade server and vmware ESXi 7.0.3

    Over ESXi 7.0.3, He want to use Windows 10 ltsb 2016.

    And I know ESXi 7.0.3 is compatible with Windows 10 ltsb 2016

    But Is it possible to use Windows 10 ltsb 2016 guest operating system in Intel Xeon 4th Gen. CPU (especially 8458p ) ?

    I already searched that in Microsoft, Intel, HPE website, but I cannot find suitable case.

    Any Comment will be appriciated.

    Hi,

    In most cases, when guest OS is supported by hypervisor, then any compatible CPU is compatible with guest OS.

    But if you didn't find any HCL for this Windows version, you need to test it on the hardware.
