Intel VROC RAID-5 Support on ESXI 7.0.3

    Hi all,

    I recently built a Supermicro 120U-TNR server with 12 U.2 NVME SSDs in an Intel VROC Premium RAID-5 configuration, and ESXi 7.0.3 fails to recognize the setup.

    Is there any guide for VROC support on ESXi with RAID-5? A quick Google search only returned queries from 2019 stating only RAID-1 was supported, yet was unsure if anything has changed since then since well... that was 3 years ago.

    AFAIK nothing has changed from that regards.

    software raid for the data raid is not supported. 

    you can use vroc only for the os/boot partition with raid 1.
