ILO hung after boot menu

i am installing ESXi 5.1 through ILO port from  

HP Proliant DL385 G6

server, after boot menu it is hung as in screen shot, please help me to install remotely

Welcome to the Community - Have you confirmed the hardware you are using - Server, NIC, drive controller are supported by vSphere 5 - you can check here http://www.vmware.com/resources/techresources/cat/119

thanks for the response, the HW is well supported

when connected monitor to serial port everything is displayed only issue through ILO

Are you using the HP image for the DL385?

yes i am booting from DVD through ILO, the boot process is very much visbile through serial console but not through ILO..

Would there be problem with Host systems Resolution?

Can you try upgrading you iLO firmware and give a try.

Hi,

I have same model server and its working fine with below BIOS and ILO firmware.

System ROM:

A22  07/10/2009; backup system ROM: 07/10/2009

  

ILO Current Firmware:

1.82   03/31/2010

Check the following

- Connect DVD player and try to install from same DVD Player

- Create ISO and attach with Virtual CD rom.

Mostly your DVD is getting disconnected from Virtual CD rom (ILO CDROM) and it fail to proceed.
