  • 1.  I need to remove vm from protection Group in Site Recovery Manager

    Hello Guys,

    I have a problem with site recovery manager i have srm replicate with the HPE 3Par Storage i need to when i assign the lun i show all the vm in the lun i need to choose the vm to Run the replication but he need to replicate all vm in the lun how can i choose one vm to replicate i try to remove protection group for the vm Which I have not chosen but the run found error you have vm not protected

    Note:- i try to remove the vm but the Button remove hidden  i use Site Recovery manager 8.2

    Hi Mohammed,

    If you are using storage based replication, SRM will protect all VMs from replicated LUN and it does not let you select individual VMs. If you wish to test  a single VM, you need to have a single LUN with just one VM in it.

    Thanks so much for your support but if i use the VVOL   can i select the vm i need to solve the problem

    Mohamed,

    If you are using VVOL, I believe it is configured with storage policies. If you are testing the functionalities, you need to configure storage policy for a single VM and the associated datastore
