HPE SSA CLI manual setup

hi,

is it possible to install /add the 

HPE Smart Storage Administrator (HPE SSA) CLI for VMware vSphere .vib file to an existing ESXi Host?

We used the standard Esxi and not the HP one... with the ssacli....

is a reboot necessairy or is it a problem for a existing host?

I forgot to use the HP ESXi Image for a HP Server ... are there more reasons than SSA CLI to use the HP image than the Standard ESXi  image?

What version and build do you have installed?
You could also update your version or build with a custom image from HPE.

HPE ESXi Offline Bundle for VMware ESXi. The HPE ESXi Offline Bundle for VMware ESXi includes the latest HPE Common Information Model (CIM) Providers, HPE Integrated Lights-Out (iLO) driver, HPE Compaq ROM Utility (CRU) driver, the HPE Agentless Management Service (AMS), and Fibre Channel(FC) HBA access libraries.

we use the version 7 from ESXi can I update it with a 7.x from HP?
its a productive host, shouldn't hang after update

iLO can I directly connect, ROM Update is not often necessairy ... or does I have more events in the iLO with the add-on? whats the advantage when I install the HP image with iLO, ROM, AMS?

Hello.
You should search on the HPE Web for the
HPE Utilities Offline Bundle for ESXi 7.0 according to the update you have installed as U1 or U2.

If you are not experienced in applying patches or drivers, I recommend you to request support from a local VMware partner.
