    Dear all,

I'm trying to make a virtualization of a running CentOS machine

I have tried remote virtualization from a windows machine using Converter Standalone 4.0 without succeding ( the client told me that OS is not supported)

but I know that other people have successfully completed these kind of activities

which is the best way to virtualize a CentOS machine?

    Best Regards,

I haven't had to convert a Centos machine in a while. If Converter just won't run because it doesn't detect the correct OS then just copy the contents of the Red Hat version of redhat-releases to the one in /etc/redhat-releases. A Google search should find the correct information.

Another thing I haven't needed to do in a while is a netcat copy. Use a Linux rescue CD on both source and destination and use netcat to clone the disks. Quite quick.
