    What procedures to disable only one of the hba ports for maintenance on the SAN.

    The easiest way is to disable the port on the SAN switch.

    It would be a command to replace the "esxcli storage core path set --state off --path vmhba32:C0:T1:L0", performed for each path.

    Disabling right on san switch, critical vms may be affected even in a short period of operation of the failover multipathing.

    Either from BIOS [OR]  disable FC switch port where HBA connected (SAN team)  [OR]  Unplug the HBA cable (onsite support)
