    Dear Team,

Now we are planning to upgrade our ESXi host to ESXi5.5 before that I need to confirm Hardware compatibility of Cisco UCSB-B200-M3 BLADE server.

What command I have to run on esxi from where I collect all hardware device id / vendor id info so that I will cross check the same at VMware compatibility site.

Need ur urgent assistance on the same.

If you know model/type of your I/O devices, check the compatibility here: VMware Compatibility Guide: I/O Device Search

About device driver, the new ESXi image will have the new compatible drivers... anyway, when doing my migrations I always use the downtime window to upgrade the hardware firmware.

    Thanks Richard,

sorry I m new , I don't know the model of I/O device... I have ran the esxcfg-info command and export the output.

Please find the attached file it contains all hardware component details I Request u to highlight all required device / components for which I have to check compatibility before upgrading ESXi host.

    Appreciate your help

    Hi,

we are also using B200 M3 Blades. Running ESXi 5.5

They are on the compatibility list. If so, all Hardware is also compatible with the ESXi Version.

Install the Servers with the Cisco VMware Image and you will be fine.

But check the installed Cisco Image for compatibility with VMware. For that, you have to go to the Cisco site

Cisco Unified Computing System - Technical References - Cisco

and check your installed version with the vmware version you wan´t to use. For ESXi Version 5.5 you need at least Verion 2.1(3) for UCS
