How to allign ESXi VMs data disks

Is there a way to allign ESXi VMs data (non C) disks that already have data on them without wiping them? Some kind of "live allign"

Utilities like Partition Magic might be worth a look. A shame the vmware converter doesn't do it really although IIRC PlateSpin PowerConvert does.

If you have a NetAPP filer you can use their tool: mbralign.

Check if your storage vendor offers a best practice document regarding alignment (at least EMC and NetAPP does).

Look at vOptimizer from vizioncore. The product does excactly that.
