  • 1.  How do view history of tasks?

    I have a vSphere environment, and many people can log in it.

    I can only view recent tasks in the tasks.

    Sometimes, I want to view old tasks.

    What should I do？

    In webclient, under tasks and events, you can find export option in events. While exporting you will be prompted to enter time. That will give you all tasks and events.

    I would suggest using powercli script to get all the task events within a time range as per your requirement

    Additionaly to other replies, do not forget that there is a retention period for tasks and events Configure Database Settings

    Another alternative is vRealize Log Insight.
