  • 1.  FTP Server for Exsi

    Hi there

    Can anyone reccommend an FTP Server application for Exsi ( Not for windows etc. but "bare metal" or at least as mutch as possible) with user management, folder management etc.

    Are you looking for a shared storage that your ESXi host can access? If so I would not look at an FTP host but NAS/NFS which ESXi can connect to natively -

    Thanks for your reply.

    Actually my plans where to make a virtual NAS / Filesserver from where I can acces my files / give other access to files and folders locally and over internet.

    You cannot install FTP server / Services on ESXi host, simply you can create and run a Linux VM and can make as FTP server.

    Thanks for your comments. I actually found this virtual appliance which i am testing now and i will let you know when testing is done but it looks good so far
