    Hi All,

If I enable FT on a VM which resides in our Primary "Datacenter A" managed by "vCenter Server A", Can the secondary VM for this FT protected primary VM reside in DR "Datacenter B" which is managed by "vCenter B"?

Can this be done with vSphere 6.5? I read that FT is a cluster level feature but with vSphere 6, it is possible to do vmotion across vCenter servers. So has anyone tested FT across vCenter Servers?

    Thanks - Asrar

Unless I'm missing something new, both primary and secondary virtual machines should run within the same cluster. I know that we can vMotion the secondary virtual machine, but never tried vMotion to any target different than a host in the same cluster.

The FT VM has to be managed by a single vCenter server, even in 6.5.
