Hi.

I have a similar issue for one particular VM. 
Did you guys manage to resolve the issue?

I have checked: 
- vmkping to another host
- readding the vmotion vmkernel adapter
- Reboot the VM (both cold nor active live state migration failed)

Error message:

• Failed waiting for data. Error 195887167. Connection closed by remote host, possibly due to timeout.
• Failed to copy source (/vmfs/volumes/*******.vmdk) to destination (/vmfs/volumes/******.vmdk): I/O error.
• Failed to copy one or more disks.
• A fatal internal error occurred. See the virtual machine's log for more details.
• 2024-01-10T11:18:47.760618Z
• vMotion migration [184221700:7494984722258575656] failed to read stream keepalive: Connection closed by remote host, possibly due to timeout

Is it possible to shutdown one of the VMs not migrating and try vmotion again? Does the issue still persist?

Hi, 

I am working on the similar issue, where a VM with 40GB memory is taking long time while vMotion and failed after 4hrs or 56%.

You can consider below, if it matches with your environment

1. Create dedicated Distributed switch (vDS) for Management traffic (vMotion) to **** vMotion with Virtual Machine traffic.

2. Align vmnic2 as primary and vmnic0 as secondary NIC 

3. Enable NIOC and Configure Share value of Management traffic to 100.
