At this point of time , to me it appears that Broadcom themselves do not know where the download repo is . All Links are broken and So called support / partner portal is not in good shape

happens when we try to fix good things...

If you are trying to update a host you could use esxcli. It worked on hostupdate.broadcom.com last sunday.

connect to the host using ssh and open up the firewall:
esxcli network firewall ruleset set -e true -r httpClient

    search for your release:
esxcli software sources profile list -d https://hostupdate.broadcom.com/software/VUM/PRODUCTION/main/vmw-depot-inde
    x.xml | grep -i ESXi-8

    un the update command:
    esxcli software profile update -p ESXi-8.0U2b-23305546-standard -d https://hostupdate.broadcom.com/software/VUM/PRODUCTION/main/vmw-depot-index.xml

    close the firewall:
esxcli network firewall ruleset set -e false -r httpClient

Try visiting Download Broadcom products and software, scroll down the page a bit and select the VMware Cloud Foundation link and hopefully you'll find 2 pages worth of VMware products to download..

    Regards, George.

    Tried

    https://support.broadcom.com/group/ecx/productfiles?displayGroup=VMware%20vSphere%2B%20-%20Standard&release=vSphere+&os=&servicePk=202634&language=EN&groupId=204426

But there I get only "not entitled". I want our apprentices to tray vmware with th 60days evaluation license but only can download custom builds like for HPE.

Not sure whether I should give MS Hyper-V a try...

Hi Andreas, I feel your pain. I am not a Broadcom employee, so can't help you further I'm afraid.

    Regards,
    George.

If its is for the aprentices to trial would recommend either HyperV server (free but CLI only) or if you have a spare licence MS server with the HyperV role installed. Failing that try Proxmox. Veeam 12 now supports it so they can even try configuring backups too. :)
