  • 1.  ESXi 8 update version Web Interface

    Hello,

    I just updated my ESXi host to VMware-ESXi-8.0c-21493926-depot.
    After logging into web interface i am noticing old version displays:

    firefox_2023-04-01_11-28-10.png

    However, checking via SSH it confirms latest version installed:
    [root@esxi:~] vmware -v
    VMware ESXi 8.0.0 build-21493926

    Why is web interface showing older version and shell showing current / latest version installed?

    Please advise

    I think it might be a cosmetic bug, If from the command line, if you are seeing the right version, then we should be good.

    Hi,

    This is very comon behaviour, nothing to worry about. The version shown by CLI is the current version of the ESXi.
