  • 1.  ESXI 6 freeze

    Hi people

    I just recently install a ESXI 6 server with two virtual machines on it, one windows and the other with linux. But in the last days the machines are getting freeze and i cant access the machines. I can access the server by the console but the machines keep freezed.

    I attach my kernel log file.

    Looking for help.

    What is your server brand/model and firmware version? First step is to confirm in VMware Compatibility Guide that it's compatible with vSphere 6. Have a look here: https://www.vmware.com/resources/compatibility

    here is what you need to tell us:

    On ESXi host

    -What is size of Internal datastore, also if you have external too.

    -CPU model, core, frequency etc.

    -Total RAM

    -How many total nic you have on bare metal

    -Screenshot of vSwitch

    On both Virtual machines

    -What is size of storage allocated on each VM

    -CPU allocation

    -RAM Allocation

    your CPU and RAM is not powerful enough to handle those two VMs. Consider upgrading RAM and don't overcommit CPU if both VMs needs to be turned on simultaneously.
