    Dear all,

I heard that ESX 4 will soon have EOL. In my company i have installed two ESX 4 server and still got about 2 years of active subscription, so will i get support on my ESX 4? or do i need to upgrade to 5 and change to ESXi in order to get support?

    Thank you!!

End of support for vSphere for isn't until 2014, so I'm not sure where you heard that:

ESX3.5 is still supported to late 2013, so you should be fine for ESX4.

Edit: Should have refreshed. ^ What he said.

    Hi,

One thing that's relevant, although it's not EOL, it is "End of being current". Any servers built in recent times should have been built with ESXi - I would refer to it as "EOL" for a new build, regardless of the "Official Support" statement.
