Hello. I have VMware vSphere Hypervisor 7.0 update 3 (ESXi).
I wonder how to encrypt the data storage of a virtual machine.

Hello. Thank you for your answer.
I use Ubuntu and have access to ESXi to manage my VM through a web browser. I didn't find a solution on how to install vSphere Client on Ubuntu to manage VMware Native Key Provider. As I understand encryption feature is free too...

Ah. you are using Free ESXi, then you don't have this option available. it is only available via vCenter Server.

You should probably consider some kind of in-guest encryption then.

So, in my case, there is no chance to natively encrypt VM in free ESXi?
