  • 1.  Dual destinations for Syslog

    Is it possible to set up a second destination IP for Syslog on an ESXi 4.0 server. I've read that ESXi on supports one destination, however, I've also read that a work around was setting up a syslog relay. If a second destination is possible, is it supported by VMware, and can someone share with me the steps on how to set this up? Thanks...

    As far as I know only a single destination is possible with ESXi. You would have to configure a repeater on another host to forward the syslog messages to multiple receivers.
