I am trying to gather some performance data on my VMWare box and am a little confused by the descriptions offered for some of the Disk performace statistics. Basically I am looking to find out how may I/O's per second are occurring on a particular mount/HBA. This would be the equivilent of "Disk Transfers / Second" in the Windows world or if you were looking at a SAN the individual IOPs on the LUN. I am thinking the Disk Command Issued is the counter I want to look at but the description isn't real clear on what exactly it is. Or if anyone know where there might be a more expansive explination on the counters, that would be awesome too.
