    Hi,

I have been following these resources:

VMware KB: USB support in ESXi/ESX 4.1 and ESXi 5.x

    vSphere 5.5 Documentation Center

So I added the UHCI/EHCI devices for passthrough on the host and I added the USB controller to the VM.

But I can't add any Host USB Device to the VM, I have 4 USB sticks (all different but all FAT32) connected to various USB ports, but vSphere Web Client still reports no USB device present...

I sshed to the host and ran lsusb, but that returns literally nothing... But if that's the problem, how do I go about addressing it?

    Any help is appreciated,

    Thanks,

    Andrzej

On a maybe related note, I think the SD card that came with the PowerEdge is a bit too small. I just upgraded to 5.5 a couple of weeks ago (from 5.0), and apparently there was no room for vmware tools (the folder on the host where the vmware tools should be, does not exist), although I was not warned about this during the upgrade process.

Anyway, any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks!
