    Hi,

Could someone explain me that why esxi 5.x does not support debian 7? I'm using 5.1u1 and debian 7 is not listed in guest list. Also I've installed esxi 5.5 for test, but same. I've installed 7.2 based on Debian 6, after installing vm-tools it's shown as "Other 2.6.x Linux" , I think because of 3.2.0-4-amd64 kernel on Debian 7.2

    Thanks,

32-bit and 64-bit Debian 7.0 are both supported in ESXi 5.5, according to the HCL. 7.2 is a recent release, and it usually takes some time for these to trickle into the supported guest OS list.

Hi, there is no debian 7 in guest list in 5.5 vsphere client. Is it for web client?

    Thanks,
