Actually, I'm an industry analyst who happens to have a blog on ZDnet. It's just one of the ways that research my company (the Kusnetzky Group) is delivered.

I would love to learn more about how Hyperic is being used. It's pretty clear from various cost of ownership and return on investment studies I've done (while IDC's VP of system software research) demonstrates that this type of software strikes directly at one of the largest areas of cost in an IT-based solution.
