  • 1.  CUCM Subscriber failing Connectivity test

This is all part of a lab setup that I'm trying to do to test the functionality of different CUCM features. Spent a lot of time on this already. Used the cisco .ova file to create all the nodes in question.

    1. Environment is Cisco 3560 etherchannel > 2 physical NIC's, one vSwitch, VM load-balancing (route based on IP hash). 3 VLANs one for management. Management vlan 1.

    2. Publisher installed fine then upgraded to CUCM 8.1(3). (VLAN 2)

    3. Added Subscriber address to Publisher. Install Sub (VLAN 3) goes fine up to the point where it wants to verifiy the Publisher which it fails.

All nodes are pingable to and from each other. CUCM logs reveal some crazy error that I can't even find on the cisco web page or forums:

I've got a thread started with the Cisco community but not getting much out of them. I've tried everything imaginable. I'm convinced the vm > to etherchannel is correct. I tried taking it out and just using one vlan but have the same problem. Just wondering if anyone has ran into this before?

I did a trace which shows that the sequencing between the nodes is out of whack resulting in dup's and retransmissions. Driving me crazy...

One other thing I wanted to mention... The installs I did from DVD to 8.0(1). Then each node I upgraded to 8.1(3) .iso using sFTP server on a completely different switch / subnet /vlan. So they both will talk outside their vlan and both will ping each other the subscriber just won't pass the dam connectivity check and I can't go any further with the cluster.

Woops... didn't see my second post when I added this... Was just stating the same thing.
