    Hi,

I am new to vmware esxi. I need help to copy files or folders from one virtual machine to another while both are not in the network. I am unable to drag and drop files and copy/paste also. the virtual machines are in the same host in vCenter. I have created those files as .iso file and can copy that through virtual cd/dvd drives. But is there any way to paste those files directly copying from one virtual machine to another???

Welcome to the Community - The VMs that run on an ESXi host are completely independent  - the only would be to map the drives between the machine via CIFS or NFS shares - this can be done with out the machines being part of your physical network - you can create an internal only network on a single vSwitch -

Thank you weinstein for your reply. Yes that is possible creating a virtual switch and connecting the machines to it. But is it possible creating no physical or virtual network copying the files from one vm to another? this is just for my knowledge base. Is there any security settings or something else which can be enabled to copy files from one vm to another? Thanks again for your reply.
