    Hello All,

I have used VMware converter to convert a physcial Windows server 2003 standard server that is running IIS into a VM that runs on an ESX server. I used the Sysprep funcitonality in the Conversion process to change the machine name and IP. After the VM was created I logged onto the VM, and verified that the machine name was changed to the new machine name that I inputed in sysprep. I then initiated the web application that the server was hosting. It brought up the page correctly, however when I attempted to login, it did not work. In troubleshooting I saw that in computer management, the Iuser_account had the same name as the old server name. The acount names are not in sync with the new server. Does this matter?

Does anyone know what I need to change in IIS when I clone a webserver? This I assume is not related to VMware converter. Maybe some of you have ran into this issue when cloning webservers using other cloning applicaitons. Please let me know. I would be greatful for the help.

    Thanks in advance!
