I've noticed that a couple people have problems with the Echo versions of Acronis. Right now, 9.1 seems to work fine ... but when people go to Acronis TrueImage Echo 9.5, they can't create a VM from that version of a TIB file.
The following steps are possible with some versions of Acronis Echo, and will be able to create a new VM from a TIB file:
1 - In Acronis, browse existing backups
2 - Export it as a VMware (ESX Server) VMDK file to a temporary location
3 - Upload that .vmdk file to its final storage destination
4 - Connect to VirtualCenter using the Virtual Infrastructure Client
5 - Create a new VM on that ESX host, and use the existing VMDK as the disk
6 - Attempt to power on the new VM.
NOTE: If the power on fails with any errors, screen capture it for sending it to me. Then run the 'Configure Machine' option of Converter against the virtual machine, and try to power it on afterwards.
