Hi,
I’m trying to check the disk alignment on my VMFS LUNs. From what I’ve read online, I should use the esxcfg-vmhbadevs command to see which SD number equates to me datastores, and then run FDISK against each of these SD’s to check the alignment.
I’m running into problems with the “ESXCFG-VMHBADEVS –M” command. It is not recognised in the COS.
I’m able to run FDISK /dev/sddx to check alignment, but this is no use if I don’t know which LUN I’m checking.
Is there a command in the PowerCLI that I can use to show me which sdd associated with each LUN, or another COS command I can run?
Alternatively, if anyone can suggest a better way of checking VMFS alignment, let me know!!
Cheers,
G
